The 1861 model contains features from both the original 1851 Navy model and the improved 1860 Army model. This 1861 revolver features a nickel steel frame, shoulder stock screws, nickel steel backstrap and triggerguard, Navy roll-engraved cylinder, checkered polymer ivory Navy size grip, and improved 1860 ratchet style loading lever. This model is photo engraved with a Custer style pattern.
The 1851 Navy revolver, produced from 1851 to 1872, was the most famous model of the cap-and-ball era for good reasons. This 6-shot offers perfect balance, precise aim, and functional dependability. The 1861 model contains features from both the original 1851 Navy model and the improved 1860 Army model.
