Description
British Georgian period horsehead saber. The horsehead hilt is very finely detailed showing the veins in the horses face, details of the head stall and his mane flowing down to the guard. The blade is a quill back and double edged as it nears the point. Blade is blue and gilt with trophies of arms, floral motifs and the seal of England. Warranted is in a gilt banner above a large feathered plume much like the center plume on the Prince of Wales bonnet. Leather scabbard is very good and rock solid and the mounts retail 90 plus % of the gilding altogether a very handsome Georgian horsehead sword!
