Colt Commander .45 ACP Robby Shipley Special pistol. This is one of the special run of guns made in the 1970s for Robby Shipley of the Shipley Donut company, who apparently had them made to give as gifts for friends and associates. These guns were one of the first Special Edition models made in a non-standard configuration. They are factory nickel plated with Gold Cup triggers and Robby Shipley Special marked on the frame. This one has genuine pearl grips and comes with a box. It shows some use but is in very good condition. A hard to find model for the collector of factory custom Colts.
