Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic unissued example of a German WWII Issue M31 aluminum canteen water bottle rig, with all parts maker marked S.S.L. 39. It has the correctaluminum screw top cap, a genuine wool cover with STOCKO snaps, and a large size aluminum cup. This is held togetherby the standardblack leather belt harness, which has apainted aluminum belt hook on the back, for attaching to the combat rigging. It even still has the paper wrapping around the neck! It is truly unissued, and the only real issue is that the leather has gotten quite stiff, and has cracks and ripples in many areas, due to shrinkage, especially where it is bent around the buckle.

S.S.L. is the makers abbreviation, which unfortunately is not one that is known, but has been seen on many other examples of German WWII Canteens. 39 of course is for the date 1939. The aluminum top cap still has the sealing washer, though we cannot guarantee it still holds water.

All components are in excellent unissued condition, with minimal storage wear. If you were looking for a primo example of this canteen, look no further! Ready to display!
