Very Rare Identified Buffalo Hunters Sharps with letter identifying the gun to Thomas Linton. Lintons testimonial letters appear in the Sharps catalog where he praises Sharps guns and notes that in 1872 he killed over 3,000 buffalo with a Sharps. Gun was shipped to Troy Kansas in 1873. Linton is mentioned in the Encyclopedia of Buffalo Hunters and Skinners and will be mentioned in Volume 3 of this same book. This is one of only a very few Sharps conclusively identified to a known buffalo hunter.
