Description

This is a scarce standard issue “a” range ac 45 9mm Walther P.38 pistol with a lower case “a” on the barrel assembly and slide and uppercase “A” on the frame. It is all matching and has the correct eagle over 359 Waffenamt acceptance marks. The bore is excellent with bright, strong rifling. The pistol retains approx. 92% blue with the grip strap fading. The hammer has three ridges. The correct magazine has P38 v over U on the left and the eagle over 359 on the spine. The reddish brown AEG grips are excellent. The action functions correctly. Many of these pistols were lost on the retreat from the Eastern Front. That, combined with the mixed lettering, makes this a scarce pistol.
