Winchester Model 1885 High Wall .32-40 WFC caliber rifle. A desirable rifle that measures 46½” overall length with a 30” No. 3 (medium weight) octagon barrel. Bore is fair with areas of roughness. Metal has a brown patina with freckling on the receiver. The side of the barrel has use marks. The brown butt plate has medium roughness. Butt stock is good with some wood loss at the end of the upper tang. Forend is good with an added escutcheon at the screw. The set trigger does not set, but the action functions correctly. A good representative High Wall for the Winchester collector or a great basic for a custom High Wall rifle.
